Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Role: Certified Medical Assistant responsible for delivering quality patient care in collaboration with physicians, within medical assisting scope and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service with respectful communication.
• Review and update patient health records, ensuring accuracy of diagnostic tests, reports, and medical information.
• Measure vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist during patient visits.
• Perform clerical duties including checking inventory, tracking referrals, and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, supporting departmental functions as needed.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED; active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA, or NCCT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required at hire.
• One year of healthcare experience or two years of clerical experience in a physician's office (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to engage professionally with staff and patients.
