Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, providing exceptional resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team. Key responsibilities include

• leading shift assignments and managing coverage
• delivering hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
• coaching caregivers on quality standards, documentation, and hospitality
• reviewing charting to ensure compliance with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• monitoring resident changes and communicating concerns promptly
• supporting onboarding and mentoring new staff

• promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
• The role requires a balance of frontline caregiving and leadership, exemplifying professionalism, accountability, and compassion.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED, age 18
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care environments
