- An Associate Degree from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technologist Program.
- Certification requirements depend on educational background: a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI if from a Cardiovascular program, or ARRT registration in Cardiac Interventional Radiography, Vascular Interventional Radiography, or Radiography, with a preference for CI registration.
