What are the responsibilities and job description for the Household Assistant/Caregiver position at Personal household?
We are seeking a dependable, trustworthy, and caring individual to provide approximately 10 hours of assistance per week in a private residence. This position combines household help with occasional transportation and caregiving support for a child with special needs.
Responsibilities:
● Light to moderate household cleaning and organization
● Running local errands and picking up groceries or household items
● Light meal preparation
● Occasional dog walking
● Occasional transportation of a child with special needs to or from school
● Providing occasional supervision and caregiving, including some weekend hours as needed
● Assisting with other reasonable household tasks as time allows
Qualifications:
● Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
● Patient, compassionate, and comfortable supporting a child with special needs
● Comfortable around animals; the household has one dog
● Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance
● Clean driving record
● Ability to respect the family’s privacy and maintain confidentiality
● Previous household, caregiving, or special-needs experience is preferred but not required
● Must successfully complete a background check
● References will be requested
Schedule:
Approximately 10 hours per week. Some flexibility is available, although occasional weekday availability may be needed for school transportation. Occasional weekend caregiving will also be requested based on the individual’s availability and the family’s needs. The specific schedule will be discussed with the selected candidate.
This is a part-time position in a private family residence. We are looking for someone interested in becoming a reliable and trusted source of ongoing household and family support.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
