Overview
Person Directed Supports is a Human Service Agency who supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in community settings. We are seeking an experienced Senior manager with knowledge of Human Services, IDD, and community living homes operations to join our team. The Regional Director position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that PDS has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide day-to-day effective and inspiring leadership and management, as well as stewardship that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
- Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass quality program, financial and operational business goals and objectives.
- Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external.
- Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of their region and the areas under their supervision.
- Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of PDS.
- Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and restrain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
- Act as lead “person centered-care officer” through direct contact with all of the people that we support.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
- Partner with the Senior Executive Director, COO and CAO to represent PDS with those we support, families, and our various business partners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates/promotes a culture centered on building self-directed lives with the people we support
- Demonstrated effective administration of assigned units; complies with established administrative policies and duties.
- Oversees and ensures all aspects of their region or assigned area are performing as required and the mission of the agency is being carried out
- Displays principles of good management and applies these principles in daily work performance
- Coordinate allotted work schedule and assigned duties; effectively performs on-call duties.
- Abides by established policies and procedures of the agency and Office of Developmental Programs
- Supervise Directors and other assigned positions
- Remains aware of behavioral and/or medical status of residents. Notifies the appropriate authorities.
- Participates in the training, evaluation, and corrective actions of subordinates
- Attend / conduct all staff meeting.
- Participates in required in-service training and professional growth activities.
- Provides direct support as needed
- Completes other duties as assigned by Person Directed Supports, Inc
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
- Four years' experience working directly with persons with Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities.
- Two years supervisory experience in Human Services field
