Person County Department of Social Services is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable professional to serve as a Staff Development Specialist I within the Economic Services Division. This position plays a critical role in supporting the professional growth, performance, and success of staff across multiple program areas, including Family and Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, and Food and Nutrition Services.For the detailed job description, click HERE.

The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
- Graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of experience in a human service program, counseling, training, or in an administrative support role in a staff development and training office;
- or graduation from high school and five years of progressively responsible experience directly related to training in the subject or specialty area;
- or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualification:
- Candidate with prior experience in determining eligibility for Medicaid Services in NC Fast.
Salary : $50,060 - $78,234
