The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Maintains cleanliness of floors which includes sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, strips, and wax as needed.
- Performs general cleaning such as removing dust from ceiling vents, clean floor molding, and clean windows.
- Cleans offices, empty trash receptacles, clean and sanitize restrooms, unclog toilets and sink drains and fill dispensers.
- Keeps air return vents/filters clean and change filters per schedule.
- Cleans areas when accidents occur due to sickness or vandalism.
- Moves furniture, office equipment, and supplies, either manually or with a hand truck.
- Cleans auditorium and sets up and take down tables and chairs for meetings.
- Assists with the clearing of roof drains and gutters.
- Performs and documents routine inspection and maintenance activities such as checking emergency lights, fire extinguishers, and eyewash stations.
- Inspects government facilities and grounds to identify any maintenance issues, damage, non-routine cleaning needs, or potential concerns/issues/problems.
- Establishes, maintains, and conducts a facility maintenance and preventive maintenance schedule.
- Reports needed maintenance and safety issues to Supervisor or Maintenance crew.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- High School Graduation or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years of janitorial, custodial, or related experience an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must pass job function test.

Salary : $32,269 - $50,430
