Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to support student well-being and academic success
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or urgent mental health situations
- Promote mental health awareness and resilience-building activities within the school community
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a mental health counselor or therapist (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
- Prior experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including some after-school or early evening sessions
- Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues common in school-aged populations
