Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries effectively.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Utilize OMS software for patient management, including updating health information and processing documentation.
- Assist with administrative support tasks, including coding and understanding dental terminology.
- Coordinate with dental providers to ensure smooth clinic operations and facilitate communication between staff and patients.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records.
- Support health information management processes to ensure accurate patient data is maintained.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Medical/Dental Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with OMS or similar electronic health record systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, coding practices, and health information management principles is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure while providing exceptional customer service in a clinical setting.
