Archery Coach

Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Archery Coach to lead and develop our archery program at RW Combs Elementary. This seasonal position is ideal for individuals who have a strong background in archery and a desire to inspire and educate young athletes. The coach will be responsible for teaching archery techniques, promoting safety, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an engaging archery curriculum tailored for elementary students.
• Conduct regular practice sessions and skill-building activities that enhance participants' archery techniques.
• Ensure the safety and proper use of archery equipment during practices and events.
• Organize and supervise archery competitions and events, including local tournaments.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills and confidence.
• Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among participants.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding program updates and student progress.
• Maintain an organized and safe practice environment, including the setup and breakdown of equipment.
• Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to stay current with archery coaching practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in archery, with a strong understanding of techniques and safety protocols.
• Previous coaching or teaching experience, particularly with elementary-aged children, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage young athletes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
• Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the archery season.
• A genuine passion for youth sports and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
