Job Overview:
The person filling the Ice Cream Scooper/Cashier position will be responsible for taking orders to prepare and serve ice cream/milkshakes in a potentially demanding environment. Entering purchases using the cash register. This employee will also interact one-on-one with customers and co-workers while maintaining a professional look and demeanor. This employee will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the food preparation area(s).
Duties and Responsabilities
- Serve ice cream and other frozen desserts to customers with a friendly demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scooping area, including equipment and utensils.
- Operate cash registers accurately, processing customer transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and serve all offered menu items, while adhering to food safety standards.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Receive in and stock inventory
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Knowledge of money handling- counting, receiving, and giving change
- Must work well with others including the public
- Willing to learn and maintain proper food preparation practices
- Must be able to keep clean facilities in the work environment
- Basic understanding of computers and cash register
- Must be responsible and flexible
- Must be detail-oriented
Education & Experience
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Customer Service experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods during shift
