What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd COOK position at Permian Lodging Operating Partners?
Description
POSITION PURPOSE
Manage all aspects of the food production for all meal service, including food preparation and service duties as assigned by the General Kitchen Manager or First Cook in accordance to this job description. Adhere to Federal sanitation practices at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner. Practice sanitation and safety daily to ensure that customer satisfaction is met. Assist in leading and serving the food service line in a professional manner.
OTHER:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position, ability to work night shift as per schedule requirements.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of Permian Lodging. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions, safety meetings is required.
Requirements
EDUCATION
High school or equivalent education required.
Some culinary training required but not an asset
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years cooking experience required. Previous hospitality experience preferred.
LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONS
Food Safe Certificate
First Aid w/CPR & AED
Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
