We are currently recruiting for a Project Design Manager to join our team in one of our regional office locations (Bloomfield CT., Miramar FL., Mendota Heights MN., or Portland OR.)
Job Summary: As a Project Design Manager at Permasteelisa North America, you will be a key member of a project team challenged by the unique nature of every project we create. If you are the right candidate for this position, you will use your Design background to plan, execute, and complete all technical aspects of curtainwall projects. The Project Design Manager is responsible for with the planning, execution, and completion for all technical aspects of curtain wall projects. This includes managing internal department team and external personnel. The PDM is also responsible for learning about the management of the design schedule and budget, technical submittals to the client, material submittals, RFI’s and drawing submittals.

Responsibilities:
- Compliance of design in accordance with project requirements and Group regulations.
- Timely approval of drawings and associated documents and samples.
- Obtain contractual and/or statutory required approvals, certificates, etc.
- Successful execution and completion of visual mock-up(s), test mock-up(s), material testing.
- Timely provide required cost information, including forecasts of expected cost to be submitted to the project cost controller.
- Establish a good working relationship with the Architect and design related Consultants.
- Participate in the project kick-off, project meetings, design reviews and project reviews covering compliance of design with the project specification, make-transport-install- ability, cost developments, programs, resources, mock-ups, approvals, etc.
- Organize and schedule design review meetings.
- Compose the Project Design Plan, including budget, resources, program and quality control recommendations.
- Ensure Lead Concept Designer directions are followed.
- Ensure management of intercompany and subcontracted design work.
- Verify first articles for production and site installation.
- Verify correct installation on site with Site Manager at start on site of each main system.
- Ensure in a timely manner “as-built” drawings and Maintenance Manual(s) are issued before Practical Completion.
Minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate’s degree (with relevant experience) in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
· 3-5 Years of relevant work experience
· Well versed with 2-D and 3-D design software including but not limited to AutoCAD, CATIA
Preferred qualifications:
· Experience in other relevant computer software such as Rhinoceros, Revit, Inventor, GSA, would be an advantage

The base salary for this position is $72,171.00-$120,000.00, determined by the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity
