What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitalist position at Permanente Health Care Ventures, PC?
Morlen Health is currently seeking a Board Certified/ Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our growing medical group as a Hospitalist in Portland, OR. In this role, you will consistently provide high quality, excellent, compassionate, and efficient care with sensitivity and understanding for hospitalized patients and their families, seeking to ensure that patients are satisfied with the information and explanations provided regarding their care.
The primary location for this role will be at Kaiser Westside Medical Center. You may also be asked to work at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center as we need to have flexibility with our Inpatient team.
The inpatient team achieves its purpose by providing acute care to medical patients, offering timely consultation for hospitalized patients on other services and providing admitting/consulting services for Emergency Department patients. We also work to facilitate the transition of care between inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, we play an active role in improving overall hospital quality and utilization through cooperation with physicians, hospital staff and administration.
The dep[artment works collaboratively with the growing group of approximately 120 hospitalists across Southwest WA and OR. Hospitalists work closely with RN care coordinators who facilitate smooth transitions from the inpatient to the outpatient setting. Epic is the electronic medical record system and patients’ inpatient and outpatient records are immediately available with a single-click of the mouse.
All applicants must have experience with digital technologies (examples include telehealth and/or digital health). You will need to demonstrate both flexibility and adaptability to incorporate these into your practice as we continue to evolve our virtual care model. A comfort level with concurrent documentation is also needed for this role. We use a combination of face-to-face care and the latest virtual modalities to provide evidence-based, psychiatric treatments, including primary care consults, crisis interventions and medication consultation. Our physicians will provide a combination of onsite and virtual care.
Salary range: $299,000- $339,800 (1.0FTE)
Plus additional Lifestyle Bonus $22,200 annually
