We pride ourselves on the quality, design, and engineering of our 100 percent American-made post-frame construction and deck-building solutions. 

The Business Development Associate is a full-time position responsible for qualifying sales opportunities, improving the customer experience, and assisting the Perma-Column sales and marketing teams in driving incremental revenue opportunities for the business.

Essential Functions

  • Supports and executes business strategies focused on improving customer experience by serving as the first point of contact for online inquiries; responding to online inquiries in a timely and professional manner to answer general questions and educate customers on Perma-Column products.
  • Researches and identifies new accounts using industry lists, trade publications, event directories, and online tools.
  • Conducts outreach to past customers to gather business updates, feedback, and opportunities to re-engage.
  • Collaborates with marketing and sales to drive incremental revenue and new customer acquisition; gathering additional information from customers to qualify leads based on business criteria; connecting leads with appropriate sales consultants and updating HubSpot accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or office environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
  • Displays active listening skills, giving full attention and taking time to understand the points being made
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, positive high energy work ethic and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook email, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
