General Description:
As a leading manufacturer of coatings and sealants that are sold worldwide for the log and wood-sided home industry, this may be your opportunity to join our amazing team! We are looking for an outstanding individual to join us in an outside sales position that can be based out of Tennessee, Pennsylvania, or Minnesota. The area of sales responsibility will be the Northeastern and Midwest states to include Maine to Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. This position reports to the VP of Commercial Sales.
The successful candidate will possess strong verbal and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal abilities and the capacity to communicate effectively with contractors and business owners are essential. The ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative, team-oriented organization is also critical. Experience with log home construction, wood preservatives, finishes, and sealants is preferred.
General Overview of Duties:
- Identify customer prospects in the industry.
- Building relationships with prospects on a timely basis to promote products and increase territory sales.
- Strengthen and grow existing customer relationships to increase territory sales.
- Demonstrate use of product line.
- Estimate project material requirements.
- Participate in industry trade shows, workshops, and seminars as needed.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Company, competitive products, and services.
- Generate weekly call reports and itineraries.
- Travel is involved based on demands and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred; equivalent experience & KSA considered.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling within the construction industry
- Dependable to work regular hours Mon-Fri, 8-5, and some weekend workshops or trade shows.
- Aptitude for multi-tasking, initiative for self-motivation & keen problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented with accuracy.
- Organizational and planning skills are essential.
- Professional demeanor and appearance with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Public speaking and/or product demon experience is necessary.
- Computer, e-mail & data entry skills required. Proficiency in MS Excel & Outlook skills are mandatory.
Compensation
- Salary $90,000 - $120,000/yr DOE.
- Potential for quarterly sales commissions.
- Potential annual profit-sharing bonus.
