Altoona First Savings Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Credit Manager to join our Commercial Lending team at our Corporate Office in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
This role is ideal for a commercial credit professional who values strong underwriting discipline, sound risk management, and relationship-based community banking. The Commercial Credit Manager oversees and performs credit underwriting, loan structuring, portfolio monitoring, and compliance across the commercial loan lifecycle while supporting a strong culture of credit quality and regulatory excellence.
Key Focus Areas Include:
• Commercial credit analysis and underwriting oversight
• Loan structure, documentation, and booking quality control
• Portfolio monitoring, annual reviews, and risk ratings
• Regulatory compliance, audits, and loan reviews
• Participation lending and SBA exposure
• Collaboration with senior leadership and lending teams
Preferred Qualifications:
✔ 5 years of commercial credit underwriting experience in a banking environment
✔ Strong knowledge of commercial loan structures, cash flow analysis, and collateral
✔ Experience with Sageworks or similar credit analysis tools
✔ Prior supervisory or underwriting oversight experience
✔ Familiarity with regulatory exams and loan reviews
