You’ll collaborate daily with our product team to design, architect, and build our product. Perk is a next-generation platform focused on removing friction from booking and managing business travel.
As a Software Engineer, this role includes:
- Developing a travel-focused, web-based product using Python/Django and/or React
- Building and maintaining integrations between our platform and third-party APIs
- Designing, implementing, and testing system architecture
- Working in an Agile setup with a strong emphasis on well-documented code, unit tests, and continuous integration
Core Requirements:

- Technical Breadth: You have extensive experience developing sophisticated web products. While we are open to any modern language, a strong background in backend development is highly valued.
- Subject Matter Expertise: You demonstrate expert-level skills in server-side, client-side, or full-stack engineering. We will tailor your specific responsibilities to your technical strengths and provide any necessary internal training.
- Commitment to Excellence: You have a rigorous approach to software quality and automated testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

- AI Feature Development: Hands-on experience building product features integrated with OpenAI, AWS, or GCP AI services.
- Domain Knowledge: Prior experience within the TravelTech sector.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with DevOps practices and the AWS ecosystem.
- Agile Veteran: Experience thriving in high-velocity, high-performing Agile squads.
- The "Builder" Spirit: A passion for creating, evidenced by contributions to open-source software or personal side projects.
