What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agricultural Equipment Operators position at Peri & Sons Farms, Inc?
Workers will operate agricultural equipment used in connection with harvesting vegetable crops in the field. Workers will load and unload crops or containers of materials; load agricultural products for shipment; drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities in the field; haul crops or supplies to and from the field; and operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production in the field. Workers may perform other field operations tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2091. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Frequent turning, pushing, and pulling is required. Operating agricultural vehicles or equipment for substantial time periods (up to a full shift) is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate agricultural equipment is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required. Ability and licensure (at least a Class C license) to drive is required.
