Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, floral design, and related products
• Assist customers with product selection, answering questions about merchandise including e-commerce options and store inventory
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, cash handling, and processing payments
• Stock shelves efficiently, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment
• Support merchandising efforts by setting up promotional displays and updating signage as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues effectively

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, floral design or related fields is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures smooth transactions
• Organizational skills to manage stocking, merchandising, and store upkeep efficiently
• Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with various store tasks as needed
