What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nanny/Housekeeper position at Performance?
We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and proactive nanny/housekeeper to help care for our 9-year-old son and assist with managing our home.
This position requires flexibility, as our family’s schedule can vary due to a demanding medical residency program.
Responsibilities include:
- Arriving at our home as early as 5:30 AM when needed to help our son get ready for school and drive him to school
- Picking him up after school and transporting him to and from activities
- Assisting with homework and supporting his daily routine
- Engaging him in age-appropriate activities and providing attentive care
- Helping create a positive, structured, and supportive environment
In addition to childcare, household responsibilities are a very important part of this role, including:
- Cleaning and maintaining a well-organized home
- Laundry and household organization
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of the household
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- No weekends required
- Must be available for early morning starts (as early as 5:30 AM when needed)
- Must be available to stay until approximately 7:00–7:30 PM when needed, waiting with our son after school or activities until we return home
Please note that this is not a continuous 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM workday. There are breaks during the day while our son is at school. We are looking for someone who has the flexibility to be available during the morning and afternoon/evening portions of the day when needed.

- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable balancing childcare and household responsibilities
- A safe and responsible driver with a valid driver’s license
- Able to help maintain a smooth-running, structured home environment
This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys both working with children and helping keep a household organized and running efficiently.
