Finance Associate

Performance Systems Development (PSD) is seeking a Finance Associate to support PSD by managing financial reporting and day-to-day accounts receivable functions, including preparing accurate invoices, applying incoming payments, and assisting with collection efforts. The Finance Associate will utilize accounting systems and related tools to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and recommend improvements.

As a Finance Associate, you will:

• Prepare and issue accurate, complete, and timely monthly financial reporting to colleagues.
• Prepare and issue accurate, complete, and timely invoices to customers, in collaboration with colleagues.
• Track the status of invoices and communicate with colleagues or clients to resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Actively use QuickBooks Online and other accounting software to manage workflows.
• Enter and review bank deposits and internal transfers to ensure alignment with accounting records.
• Gather and prepare financial records, schedules, and reports for internal and external audits.

This position reports to the VP of Finance and plays a key role in helping PSD ensure that transactions are recorded accurately and timely, while also contributing new ideas to strengthen the Finance function.

What You Bring

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or other data-intensive operations, including the ability to collect, clean, upload, and interpret data.
• Demonstrated ability to use accounting software and related tools to work efficiently and accurately.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to learn new technology quickly, adapt to software updates, and find ways to improve processes through automation or system use.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Details

• Physical Demands: Frequent computer use requiring periods of sitting and close audio-visual concentration.
• Work Environment: Office work performed in a collaborative environment with a high degree of independence.
• Travel Requirements: No travel required for this position.
