Responsibilities:
- Oversight of insurance management (including verification, authorization) and billing for all payer types including Medicare, managed care, workers’ comp, commercial, government, etc.
- Billing duties include claim scrubbing, claim submission and proactively following up with payers in securing payment of accounts and resolving claim rejections through account closure
- Create, verify and maintain confidentiality of client records
- Schedule and check in clients. Manage patient flow through front desk. Duties also include patient collections
- Respond to all complaints in a friendly and professional manner. Answer insurance or any questions.
- Assist to manage patient flow through front desk.
- Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, and prioritize. Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Self-motivated team player who takes initiative and supports office needs beyond primary duties.
- Familiarity with computer systems. Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents. Experienced in computer technology that includes Excel, Google Docs, and social media marketing
- Maintains a positive attitude while effectively managing time pressures, stress, and change.
- Proven experience as a high-level medical office staff with strong attention to details and analytical skills
- Experience in fast paced Physical Therapy office environment
- Possess working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes for physical therapy
- Bilingual a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT codes for physical therapy.
