We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and demonstrate proficiency in accounting practices
Job Description
· Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
· Prepare and post journal entries (prepaids, accruals, payroll, depreciations, and amortization).
· Filing of Sales and Used Tax
· Perform monthly bank reconciliation and account reconciliations.
· Book daily transactions that appeared in the bank.
· Maintain and update IRS W-9 information of vendors for IRS 1099 year-end tax reporting and processing.
· Process credit card transactions monthly, maintain and scan receipts for recording purposes.
· Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
· Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries
· Daily process and post customer payments by recording cash, check, credit card a and electronic transfers.
· Collaborate with Accounts Receivable departments as needed to resolve discrepancies.
· Enter AP invoices and do 3-way matching (Purchase Orders, Receipts, and Vendor Invoices) including verifying coding, and attention to detail.
· Collaborate with vendors and other departments as needed to resolve discrepancies, obtain vendor statements to ensure accuracy of posted A/P.
· Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to establish and verify Purchase Orders (POs) for accurate invoice processing.
· Provide Accounts Payable aging reports to Vice President of Operation on a weekly basis.
· Process Accounts Payable check run on a weekly basis and as required.
· Process and post vendor payments that are made electronically.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with audits and year-end closing
· Any other duties given by your supervisor.
