Performance Automotive is looking for EXPERIENCED ROCKSTAR diagnostic and repair technicians. We are not interested in parts changers or backyard mechanics. Responsibilities
- Complete accurate and thorough digital vehicle inspections with pictures and videos.
- Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Qualifications
- Must have 3 or more years of automotive diagnostics and repair experience.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Self starter
- Team player
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a passable MVR.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Must have knowledge of complex electrical systems in modern cars
- Understand electrical theory including but not limited to Ohms law.
- Factory certifications are a major plus, especially with European manufactures.
