Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair and replace automotive components such as transmissions, powertrains, and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Work on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Assist in auto estimating for repair costs and timelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the shop.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician is required.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred, particularly with GM vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including diesel engine repair, alignment, and welding skills are advantageous.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and diagnostics is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment is necessary.
- A solid understanding of vehicle maintenance practices and automotive repair techniques is expected.
