Production Planner

Job Summary

Perfecto Staffing is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Production Planner for one of our valued manufacturing clients in Memphis, TN. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring materials and resources are available to meet manufacturing demands. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in production planning or manufacturing operations.

Shift: 5:45am-2:30pm- M-F

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, warehouse, and management teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor inventory levels and material availability to prevent production delays.
• Review customer orders, production capacity, and material requirements to establish priorities.
• Track production progress and make scheduling adjustments as needed.
• Identify potential production delays, material shortages, and workflow issues.
• Maintain accurate production records, schedules, and inventory reports.
• Communicate production updates and scheduling changes to relevant departments.
• Assist with improving production efficiency, reducing downtime, and minimizing waste.
• Ensure production planning activities align with company quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing planning software preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management, production scheduling, and material requirements planning (MRP).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Familiarity with production forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory tracking.
• Ability to interpret production reports and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
