What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Clerk position at Perfection Floor Tile?

**Located in Grandview, MO**
The job requires working in a warehouse and shipping areas including: filling and shipping customers orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming materials and routing to appropriate area or personnel, filling work orders from production, packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged.
Essential duties and responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
- Process, package, and ship orders accurately
- Organize stocks and maintain inventory
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
- Organize warehouse space
- Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
- Keep warehouse clean and organized daily
Education, Experience, and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED;
- Forklift trained if applicable;
- One year of relevant warehouse/manufacturing experience;
- Thrives in a fast paced work environment; responds with a sense of urgency;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.;
- Ability to make calculations; such as requirement & weight estimates and count accurately;
- Ability to read tape measure and ruler;
- Attention to detail, accuracy a must;
- Basic math skills;
*Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.*
