Overview
It takes about 2 weeks to train and is done during the day, before transitioning into set hours.
Set Hours after training is complete:
Tuesday/Thursday 6:55pm-1:30pm
Rotating Saturdays 10:55am-4:00pm
Rotating Sundays 4:55pm-7Pm
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gym Attendant to join our fitness facility team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for members , maintaining the cleanliness of the gym area, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where communication skills, sales abilities, and a passion for health and fitness are highly valued. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve our diverse clientele. The Gym Attendant will also assist with Cleaning, Straightening, stocking, and retail sales to enhance member engagement and facility revenue.
Responsibilities
- Greet members professional etiquette and friendly demeanor
- Assist members with gym equipment usage and conduct demos when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of workout areas, locker rooms, and common spaces to ensure a safe environment
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, POS transactions, and basic retail math calculations
- Monitor gym equipment for safety hazards and report maintenance needs promptly
- Enforce gym policies to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all members
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Mopping, Vacuuming, straightening weights, giving tours of the gym
- Must be able to follow a checklist
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, or grocery store operations is advantageous
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse membership base effectively
- Strong communication skills, including team player and active listening skills
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and sales transactions
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demonstrations is beneficial
- Prior experience in gyms or fitness centers is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for health and wellness is essential
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
