Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fence installation.
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing tools and materials.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install fencing using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Perform heavy lifting of fencing materials such as panels, posts, concrete blocks, and other building supplies.
- Use welding techniques when necessary to secure metal components or reinforce structures.
- Apply concrete forming and finishing techniques for setting posts or creating foundational elements.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to power tool safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience with a focus on fence construction projects is highly preferred.
- Strong carpentry skills including frame carpentry, masonry, and concrete finishing.
- Experience with welding, masonry work, or landscape maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, drills, saws, levels, and measuring devices; familiarity with power tools is essential.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of building material installation techniques including hardscape elements like concrete forms or masonry units.
- Commitment to safety practices on construction sites and understanding of power tool safety standards.
