About Us: Perfect Plantista was founded in 2020 after many frustrating attempts to find an effective, natural solution for houseplant pests. Since then, we've grown from a basement bedroom to occupying over 4000 sq. ft. in an industrial park in Ames. We’re a small but passionate team dedicated to making plant care easier and safer with sustainable solutions. Our mission is simple: to help plant enthusiasts—both pros and beginners—nurture happier, healthier houseplants with natural alternatives to chemical-heavy products.
What You'll Be Doing: As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a part-time Production & Shipping Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll play an essential part in ensuring our products are prepared and shipped to customers efficiently and accurately. Training will be provided! This position has a strong potential for full time hours.
Hours: Saturday 8 am - 5 pm and Sunday 8 am-5 pm (Training availability during the week is helpful, but not required.)
Key Responsibilities:
Production Duties:
- Operate semi-automated machines to label and fill plastic and glass bottles
- Cap, label, and prepare products for packaging
Shipping Duties:
- Pack orders for shipment
- Transport products using carts and pallet jacks
- Ensure products are packed securely and meet quality standards
Other Duties:
- General housekeeping to maintain a clean workspace
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned
- Be willing to learn additional equipment and machinery as necessary.
Who We're Looking For: We're seeking a dependable, motivated individual who’s eager to contribute to our growing team. A love for houseplants is a plus!
Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be comfortable operating a Windows PC and Mac
- Ability to sit, stoop, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills
- Reliable, adaptable to change, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A clean, insurable driving record is preferred.
