Job Title: Plant Manager
Reports to: VP Of Operations

Position summary & purpose
Responsible for the management of daily plant operations helping the team meet 1) Safety, 2) Quality and 3) Production goals while controlling overall cost. Serve as a key contributor to improvement and expansion projects.
Responsibilities and Tasks
· Ensure safety processes and procedures are followed by all. Work with Safety Manager and entire team to continuously improve safety within the operations.
· Ensure products meet quality requirements through execution of quality procedures and regular quality checks/measures.
· Guide team in troubleshooting to ensure daily production goals are met or exceeded.
· Ensure all areas of the operation (parts, tools, etc.) and offices are well organized, swept and clean.
· Provide daily management to plant supervisors, lead persons, production workers and customer service (Load out) representatives. Deliver regular constructive feedback, comprehensive training, effective communication and recognition for achievement.
· Be visible, responsive and available in the operations each day and sometimes in the evening to support the night shift.
· Assist in hiring and developing a safe, engaged and improvement-focused workforce.
· Participate in setting yearly budgets and ensure they are met.
· Ensure execution of preventative maintenance to improve plant uptime and efficiency. This includes tracking all failures/repairs to optimize plans for continuous improvement.
· Implement process controls and mistake proofing wherever possible to support all operators in successfully running and maintaining the plants.
· Ensure well written and well understood SOPs are in place for all key plant processes.
· Participate in the planning and execution of improvement and expansion projects meeting goals and objectives.
· From time to time, other duties will be assigned by the President and CEO
Requirements
Education, Skills and Experience
· High School with 10 years’ experience or equivalent required, 2-year associates degree or higher preferred
· Proven track record of successfully leading teams in an operating environment
· Should have ability to build trust and respect without relying solely on authority
· Good communication skills
· Familiar with continuous flow plant operations and technologies
· Computer literate including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel
