We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Purchasing Coordinator who is committed to accuracy, follow-through, and strong supplier relationships. This role is primarily in-office, as collaboration, visibility, and hands-on partnership with our team are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders with vendors
- Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
- Work closely with internal teams to gather requirements, communicate order status, deliver orders and address questions and issues efficiently
- Negotiate with vendors and supplies to obtain the best-delivered price
- Manage supplier relationships to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
- Authorize payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories
- Support department and organization needs through additional duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 years of purchasing and price negotiation experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, ERP systems and basic computer skills
- Organized with the ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize workload accordingly
- Ability to meet deadlines and provide excellent internal customer service
