Responsibilities
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all documents are accurate and easily accessible.
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, correspondence, settlement agreements, and reports with precision.
- Administrative responsibilities such as client intake, organizing, and record keeping.
- Research concerning simple and complex legal matters
- Conduct comprehensive document review and data entry to support litigation and transactional matters across diverse practice areas such as family law, estate planning, environmental law, and more.
- Perform administrative duties including filing, transcription, phone etiquette, and maintaining organized records to ensure smooth office operations.
- Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses when necessary to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases or projects.
- Administrative responsibilities such as client intake, organizing, and record keeping.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year civil litigation experience (e.g., drafting pleadings and legal research)
- Associates Degree or higher is preferred
- Exceptional legal writing skills
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills demonstrating professionalism in phone etiquette and client interactions.
- Ability to handle data entry accurately while maintaining attention to detail in filing and record-keeping tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
