What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping - Room Attendant position at Peregrine Hospitality?
Essential Functions
- Clean and prepare guest rooms by properly making beds, restocking supplies, replacing linens and towels, and ensuring bathrooms and amenities meet hotel standards.
- Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize all surfaces and floors, including walls, windows, fixtures, furniture, and sliding doors using proper cleaning chemicals per OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas including guest rooms, hallways, stairwells, vending areas, foyers, and linen closets.
- Stock and manage housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, tools, and linen throughout the shift; return and restock at end of day.
- Complete deep cleaning and scheduled projects to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards in rooms and public areas.
- Report maintenance issues and remove unneeded room items (e.g., rollaways, cribs) as needed; turn in lost and found items to the supervisor.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, anticipating needs and delivering high-quality service.
- Follow all safety, security, and hotel procedures while working efficiently with other departments and adhering to attendance and reliability standards.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.
- Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities
- Understand and align with the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
- Prioritize tasks, work efficiently with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language, demonstrating excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
