A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Chemical Process Technician to take ownership of chemical processing operations within a hands-on manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience working with chemical tanks, process baths, chemical concentrations, titrations, and process troubleshooting who wants to take the next step in their career.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and maintain chemical tanks and process baths to ensure chemistry remains within required specifications.
- Perform chemical testing, titrations, concentration checks, pH testing, and process adjustments.
- Troubleshoot chemical and process issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Make chemical additions and adjustments based on test results and process requirements.
- Monitor process parameters including temperature, voltage, amperage, concentration, and other critical variables.
- Support chemical processing, metal finishing, surface treatment, and related manufacturing operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve process consistency, quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Maintain accurate process documentation, testing records, and operating procedures.
- Assist with wastewater treatment and chemical waste management.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other teams to resolve process issues.
- Train and provide technical guidance to less-experienced employees.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of hands-on experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, metal finishing, coatings, surface treatment, wastewater treatment, or a related industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical concentrations, process chemistry, and chemical adjustments.
- Experience working with chemical tanks, baths, reactors, or other industrial chemical processes.
- Experience with titrations, wet chemistry, pH testing, or other chemical analysis methods.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to safely work with industrial chemicals and follow established safety procedures.
- Experience with process documentation, SOPs, and quality requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Electroplating experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with anodizing, passivation, conversion coating, chemical pretreatment, coatings, chemical manufacturing, or industrial wastewater is also highly relevant.
