Requirements & Skills
- 5 years of gear manufacturing experience
- Expertise in gear hobbing, gear shaping, and/or gear grinding
- Experience manufacturing spur, helical, worm, and bevel gears
- Strong CNC machining and machining process knowledge
- Understanding of gear geometry, GD&T, tolerancing, and inspection
- Knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing processes
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing and production issues
- Ability to evaluate and implement manufacturing equipment
Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes for precision gear production
- Support hobbing, turning, grinding, and secondary machining operations
- Troubleshoot production and quality issues using root cause analysis
- Improve throughput, quality, and manufacturing efficiency
- Partner with quality, maintenance, and production teams
- Support equipment selection, installation, and startup
- Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation
- Train and support machinists on best practices
- Drive continuous improvement and preventive maintenance initiatives
- Lead projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
