Full-Time Pharmacist – South Lamar (Austin, TX)

Peoples Rx is an independent, locally-owned pharmacy serving the Austin community for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist to join our team at our South Lamar location.

This role is ideal for a pharmacist who values a more personalized, patient-centered approach to care and enjoys working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview

As a Pharmacist at Peoples Rx, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients while working alongside experienced technicians and pharmacists. This position offers the opportunity to engage with patients beyond traditional dispensing, including support in wellness and individualized care.

Our pharmacy hours are designed to support a more balanced and sustainable work schedule, with weekday hours from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., shorter hours on Saturdays, and we are closed on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with all legal and safety standards

• Provide patient counseling and medication guidance

• Collaborate with prescribers to support optimal patient outcomes

• Support workflow efficiency in a fast-paced retail environment

• Contribute to a positive and professional team environment

• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and company policies

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of Texas, in good standing

• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Prior experience in a retail or independent pharmacy setting preferred

• Immunization certification preferred

• Familiarity with compounding and/or nutritional supplements is a plus

Schedule & Availability

• Full-time (30 - 40 hours per week)

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and Saturdays
