Industrial Laborer – Steel Shop (Temp-to-Perm)
PRST is seeking dependable Industrial Laborers to support industrial steel shop operations. This is a hands-on position that includes applying insulation to industrial steel products, maintaining equipment, and assisting with general shop duties. Training will be provided for most tasks.
- Apply insulation and refractory materials to industrial steel equipment and components
- Assist with furnace, ladle, and high-temperature equipment maintenance
- Mix, prepare, and handle industrial materials for application
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas
- Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the shop
- Perform general labor and production support as needed
- Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment upkeep
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality standards
- Forklift experience required
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment
- Willingness to learn new skills (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures
