Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring for brush and roll painters for a local Yacht company in Honolulu, HI. We are looking for painters that can scrape barnacle off boats and then brush and roll paint. This is a contract job for about 3 months or longer.
Responsibilities
Surface preparation: Cleaning, sanding, patching imperfections, and applying primer to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Masking and protection: Covering areas not meant to be painted with drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective materials.
Paint mixing and matching: Accurately mixing paint colors to match project specifications.
Application with brushes and rollers: Applying paint using various types of brushes for trim, edges, and detailed areas, and rollers for large flat surfaces.
Touch-up work: Addressing any imperfections or missed areas after the initial paint application.
Cleaning and maintenance: Cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas after each job.
Qualifications & Experience
Must have a experience in brush and roll painting
Must have a good attitude and work ethic
Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
The hourly rate for this position is $19.00-$20.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
