Job Description
Responsibilities
- Install, connect, and integrate commercial access control system components
- Work inside access control panels and control enclosures
- Install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and system schematics
- Connect and test door hardware, card readers, and related devices
- Troubleshoot inputs, outputs, and field devices
- Install, service, and troubleshoot magnetic lock (mag lock) systems
- Verify opening and closing loops and proper system functionality
- Identify common access control components and understand their operation
- Work carefully around existing system wiring without disrupting active systems
- Follow direction from the lead technician and project supervisors
- Maintain strict attention to detail while working in critical security and life-safety areas
Qualifications
- 4 years of commercial access control experience preferred
- Proven hands-on experience installing commercial access control systems required
- Experience working with access control panels and related hardware
- Strong understanding of card readers, door hardware, inputs/outputs, and mag locks
- Proficient with low-voltage wiring, terminations, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic wiring and system issues
- Experience with Symmetry, Seilox, or similar commercial access control platforms preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining system integrity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to the jobsite

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
