Project Manager - Medical Device NPD
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Full-time / Contract
We are hiring a Project Manager to lead medical device new product development programs involving robotics, electromechanical systems, embedded software, and connected/cloud-based solutions. This role requires strong end-to-end NPD leadership in an FDA-regulated medical device environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end NPD programs across robotics, electromechanical systems, embedded software, and connected medical solutions
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, RAID logs, milestones, and deliverables
- Drive collaboration across engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, commercial, and business teams
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, QMS requirements, design controls, DHF documentation, and 21 CFR 820.30
- Provide executive-level project reporting, status updates, risk visibility, and escalation management
- Support product lifecycle management, sustaining engineering, cost optimization, and manufacturing readiness
- Apply Agile, structured project management, and DevOps practices where applicable
- Coordinate cross-functional execution from concept through launch and post-launch support
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of program or project management experience
- 5 years of medical device or MedTech industry experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA-regulated product development
- Experience with design controls, DHF documentation, QMS, and 21 CFR 820.30 compliance
- Experience managing complex NPD programs involving robotics, electromechanical systems, IoT, connected devices, embedded software, or cloud-based solutions
- Strong risk management, schedule management, budgeting, stakeholder management, and execution discipline
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Project Management certification, or equivalent structured project management experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools
- Ability to review or work with basic CAD/product documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with connected healthcare or cloud-enabled medical device solutions
- Orthopaedics product domain exposure
- Digital product lifecycle or DevOps experience
- Sustaining engineering, cost reduction, or manufacturing optimization experience
