Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas of the facilities, including coworking spaces, restrooms, and event spaces. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, restocking supplies, and sanitizing surfaces. Additionally, the Custodian will ensure the proper care of cleaning equipment and promptly report maintenance needs. Reliable attendance and consistency are extremely important in this role.
Specific Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain building common areas
- Vacuum carpets and sweep hard floors
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms (including single- and multi-stall restrooms)
- Perform light dusting and routine touch-up cleaning
- Monitor and report maintenance or supply needs
- Handle occasional light maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles and similar minor upkeep items
- Other tasks as needed or directed
Compensation
- This position is a W-2 position reporting directly to our Managing Director. Compensation range is $15-$20 per hour, based on prior experience and related skills.
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling within agreed cleaning windows
- Weekly cleaning needs will range from 8-12 hours per week
- Custodial services will occur at least 3 times per week at minimum and may require early morning or evening rotations, as agreed
Qualifications
- Prior custodial, janitorial, facilities, or light maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge in operating and maintaining cleaning equipment
- Attention to detail with an ability to identify and address maintenance needs
- Time management and organizational skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Dependability and ability to work independently
- Physical capability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for prolonged periods, at least up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
