Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking Maintenance Technicians / Maintenance Mechanics to join their production facility team! Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
- Pay: Varies by location and experience (typically competitive for industrial maintenance roles)
- Shifts Available:
o 2nd Shift
o 3rd Shift
o Weekends and overtime may be required
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and production machinery
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems including wiring, motor controls, control panels, relays, and VFDs (up to 480V in some facilities)
- Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform fabrication, welding, and equipment modifications as needed
- Document maintenance activities using CMMS or work-order systems
- Maintain compliance with food safety, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and company safety standards
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in a food-processing environment
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with conveyors, automated equipment, and production machinery preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50–60 lbs.
- Ability to work in cold or refrigerated environments (as required)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
