Quality Control Technician

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Technician in partnership with a prominent client in the Owego area within the Manufacturing field. This role involves auditing and inspecting both in-process and completed work to ensure mechanical, electrical, and data compliance of assemblies and subsystems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GD&T and experience using a CMM.

Pay: $22 - $24

Quality Control Tech Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) on mechanical drawings.
• Conduct in-process and finished goods inspections and testing.
• Perform process audits to verify compliance with established procedures.
• Ensure inspection and test equipment calibrations are up to date.
• Record and analyze data, maintaining Statistical Process Control charts.
• Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and gauges.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve quality issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in evaluating engineering change proposals through experiments.
• Inspect incoming materials and develop inspection steps for new parts.
• Train others in part inspection as needed.
• Follow instructions and adhere to safety practices, environmental management, and quality systems requirements.
• Perform first article inspections and maintain records of data and operations.

Quality Control Tech Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/ Equivalent.
• An associate degree in a quality or math-related field is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in quality inspection of electro-mechanical equipment.
• ASQ certification is preferred.
• Experience running a CMM.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Comfortable with using technology and computers.
• Requires visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Capable of lifting 40lbs frequently, up to 95lbs with assistance.
