Pay: $50 - $60 per hour (W2)
Duration: 8 Months
Seeking a highly motivated Consumer & Market Insights Contractor to support a Commercial Analytics team during a temporary leave of absence. This consultant will lead high-impact research initiatives, deliver actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making that enhances customer experiences and drives innovation. The ideal candidate will ramp quickly, integrate into active projects within 2–4 weeks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role partners closely with Commercial Analytics and cross-functional teams, including Brand, Marketing, Loyalty, Sales, Digital, and Operations. The contractor will translate business questions into clear research plans, manage multiple priorities, and present findings to executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quickly onboard and assume ownership of active research workstreams
- Develop research plans, methodologies, and timelines based on business needs
- Lead initiatives related to global brand health tracking, customer experience surveys, loyalty/member insights, macro trends, forecasting, and ad hoc strategic research
- Synthesize custom research, syndicated data, and transactional/behavioral data into compelling narratives
- Represent the voice of the customer/member across the business
- Build executive-ready presentations and insight readouts
- Manage external research vendors, including scope, timelines, quality, and deliverables
- Collaborate consultatively with internal stakeholders to guide business decisions
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of hands-on consumer insights/research experience (supplier side or blended supplier/client side preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Market Research, or related field required; Master’s/MBA preferred
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise, including survey design
- Ability to synthesize multiple data sources into strategic recommendations
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Self-starter with strong curiosity, work ethic, and results orientation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hospitality, travel, retail, or customer-focused industry experience
- Tableau or other BI tool experience
