Position: Transportation Dispatch Support Specialist

Location: Virginia Beach, VA 
Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Clearance

Primary Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch “C” Pool CESE and MHE for short-term loans to NSW commands.

• Re-issue “B” assigned CESE and MHE for recurring monthly loans.

• Track CESE and MHE usage, monitor late returns, and notify customers of status.

• Monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules and provide customers advance notice of upcoming service requirements.

• Receive and relay emergency breakdown notifications to leadership for corrective action.

• Prioritize requests and assign the most economical and mission-appropriate equipment.

• Utilize Fleet Focus (FA) database to assign, track, and schedule equipment for service and inventory.

• Obtain mileage and usage reports from remote sites and update the Fleet Focus database.

• Maintain key control for approximately 600 CESE-assigned vehicles within the motor pool.

• Inspect vehicles for safety, functionality, damage, and presence of required equipment.

• Maintain an accurate equipment status board reflecting current readiness and fleet availability.

• Prepare recurring reports detailing utilization, readiness, and serviceability.

• Allocate assets efficiently to support multiple simultaneous missions following established priority guidelines.

Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.

• Must maintain a valid forklift license.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in asset management, dispatching, or transportation operations in a DoD environment.

• Proficiency with Fleet Focus (FA) or equivalent fleet management systems.

• Knowledge of CESE and MHE operations, preventive maintenance, and dispatch procedures.

• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
