Our client, a long-established AS9100-certified manufacturer with over 65 years of proven success is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead their inspection team and oversee our AS9100-compliant Quality Management System.
This is a leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on operations, quality, and compliance standards in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and supervise all employees and activities within the Quality Inspection Department.
- Maintain, manage, and continuously improve the AS9100-compliant Quality Management System.
- Oversee inspection processes to ensure compliance with welding codes, workmanship standards, and customer requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Your experience should include:
- 7–10 years in a senior quality role, with at least 3 years in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment.
- Strong knowledge of AWS welding codes and workmanship standards.
- Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Hands-on experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT).
- Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, scales, etc.).
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
Bonus Points For:
- Aerospace or defense industry background.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems.
- ASQ certifications.
