Mental Health Counselor: Exciting opportunities to become a licensed clinical therapist! Full-time and part-time options available for Master's-level behavioral health practitioners to obtain clinical service hours and clinical supervision under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Candidates must have a Master's degree in a social work, clinical counseling, or other mental health-related field and be eligible for licensure in the State of Delaware. Candidates must possess:
· A strong foundational understanding of the outpatient therapy model
· Assessment skills to include the administration and interpretation of brief screening and diagnostic tools
· Diagnostic skills to include the ability to determine differential diagnoses
· The ability to utilize various empirically evidenced psychotherapeutic modalities depending on the need of the client
In addition to delivering high-quality mental health therapy interventions, candidates are also responsible for client schedule management, participating in administrative and clinical meetings/trainings, utilizing supervision/consultation toward licensure, and must possess strong computer literacy skills.
People’s Place is a one-of-a-kind, statewide, human services organization that, in addition to providing outpatient mental health services, also provides services such as transitional and homeless housing, veterans outreach services, court diversion and mediation services, and domestic violence counseling and education services. Our outpatient practice has proudly provided mental health services to Delawareans for over 50 years. We have a multi-disciplinary practice, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed mental health counselors. The agency employs highly skilled clerical and administrative assistants who are responsible for credentialing, insurance authorizations, intake scheduling, payment collection, and insurance billing, allowing providers to focus on client care and clinical practice.
