What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing and Employment Coordinator position at People's Place?
Full-time Housing & Employment Coordinator with SAFE, a program serving adults harmed by domestic violence is needed. This position assists survivors in obtaining housing and employment. Primary responsibilities include advocacy, assisting with applications for housing and/or employment, gathering needed documents, accompanying survivors to prospective housing or job sites, data input, responding to hotline callers and safety-planning. Position requires building relationships with survivors and prospective landlords. Must be organized, able to work independently, and able to work collaboratively with team to provide services for survivors. Must have ability to work some weekend days/evenings. Must operate vehicles and have a good driving record. Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field or equivalent experience required. Experience in the field of domestic violence is preferred.
